Changelog

You can now record a Cap without installing anything. The new web recorder captures your screen and webcam straight from the browser and gives you a shareable link when you stop.

Features

• Screen and webcam recording - Pick a screen, window, or tab, and optionally add your camera.
• Upload as you record - Recordings upload in segments while you record, so your link is ready quickly after you stop.
• Works alongside the desktop app - Same account, same library, same share pages.

The share page is now a conversation. Viewers can leave comments and react with emojis directly on any Cap.

Features

• Comments - Anyone watching a Cap can leave a comment on the share page.
• Emoji reactions - React to a Cap with a single click while watching.
• Editable titles - Rename a Cap right from its share page.
• Copy link - A one-click button copies the share link to your clipboard.
• Link previews - Shared links now render a preview image in chat apps and social feeds.

Every recording now lands on its own share page. Send one link and anyone can watch in the browser, no account needed.

Features

• Share page player - Caps play on a dedicated page with a seek slider, mute, and fullscreen controls.
• Video thumbnails - Links show a preview image instead of a blank frame.
• Titles and dates - Each Cap displays its name and when it was recorded.
• cap.link short links - Share links are available under the short cap.link domain.
